Vehicle fit — SUV shade & shelter

SUV Awnings

For SUVs, shade and shelter come in two weights of product. The light layer is the Play.do! awning line — 90°, 180° and 270° formats detailed on the car side awnings page — mounted on the SUV's rails or rack for shade and rain cover at the flank. The heavy layer is a room: the catalogue lists an inflatable SUV car side tent at US$386.44–650 (MOQ 5 pieces), which puts an air-beam shelter against the vehicle, and a portable one-bedroom Oxford shelter tent for SUVs, for 2–3 people, at US$419–469 (MOQ 20 pieces).

Awning or side tent?

An awning is weather management: sun off the kitchen, rain off the door, packed in minutes, forgotten on the roof between trips. A side tent is accommodation: it sleeps people, stores gear securely at a base camp, and stays pitched while the SUV leaves — the decisive advantage for multi-day family bases, and the reason the two products complement rather than compete. The two are combined rather than chosen between where the trip pattern includes both short stops and long bases: an awning for shade at every stop, a side tent for the long stays, and a roof tent or ground tent as the main bed. Send the trip pattern in your enquiry and the recommendation follows from it.

Ordering notes

The SUV side tent listings carry MOQs of 5 and 20 pieces; awning MOQs are per model. Detailed dimensions for the side tents are listing-level — request the spec sheets and confirm fabric, dimensions, price and lead time in writing before payment.
