When a soft rack is the right rack
A soft rack suits vehicles without factory rails, cars that only carry a tent a few weekends a year, and rental or demo fleets that move kit between vehicles. It is not a substitute for a rated steel rack in permanent or expedition use: if the tent lives on the roof, fit the hard rack.
